Roseate Spoonbill
The "other" pink bird of the swamps.
Field Notes
EXOTIC
Often mistaken for a flamingo. Look for the flat beak.
Native to the muddy coastlines of Leonida, the Roseate Spoonbill is often confused with the more famous Flamingo due to its vibrant pink plumage. However, veteran hunters from Red Dead Redemption 2 will recognize this species immediately from the swamps of Lemoyne.
Unlike flamingos that flock in massive numbers in open water, Spoonbills are solitary feeders or found in small groups, using their distinctive flat beaks to sift through the mud for crustaceans.
