Pack your sunscreen and your Glock. GTA 6 is officially set in the state of Leonida, Rockstar’s satire of modern-day Florida. It’s the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto universe yet.
Unlike the contained map of 2002's Vice City , Leonida is a massive, sprawling state. You aren't just stuck in the city; you've got swamps, redneck counties, and industrial wastelands to explore (and terrorize).
Key Regions
Based on mapping data from the leaks and official trailers, the map is divided into three primary biomes:
🌆 Vice City (The Metro)
The crown jewel. Neon nights, expensive cars, and pure excess. It's Miami on steroids. Expect Ocean Drive, Starfish Island, and a massive downtown skyline.
🐊 Grassrivers (The Swamps)
West of the city lies the Everglades-inspired wetlands. Home to the Thrillbilly Mud Club, fanboats, and an aggressive alligator population.
🏖️ Leonida Keys (The Islands)
A tropical chain of islands stretching south. Perfect for drug running or just watching the sunset after a 5-star wanted level chase.
